The Kouba Gallery, nestled on the picturesque banks of the Minnesota River and proudly supported by the Minnesota Valley Chapter of the Izaak Walton League, invites art enthusiasts and nature lovers alike to their upcoming Open House event. The Gallery's mission, centered around exploring the human relationship with a changing environment, comes to life in their latest exhibition, "Fabulous Flowers," curated by volunteer curator Russ Stanton. Running from May 10th to May 31st, the "Fabulous Flowers" exhibition showcases the works of 20 talented artists selected from nearly 50 applicants. From captivating photography to stunning oil paintings, intricate beadwork to mesmerizing glass mosaics, the exhibition promises to captivate imaginations and celebrate the beauty of nature through art. Among the featured artists are nationally recognized figures such as John Anderson, an award-winning Native American photographer, and Shelley Beaumont, an acclaimed multi-media mosaic artist. Lonnie Broden, known for his striking oil paintings, and internationally renowned beading artist Svetlana Sapegina are also among the notable exhibitors. To mark the culmination of this vibrant exhibition, the Kouba Gallery invites the public to an Open House event on May 19th from 1-4 pm. Attendees can look forward to an afternoon of art, food, and fellowship, including a reception with the artists, guided walks of the nearby nature refuge, and the opportunity to connect with Chapter and community members.
