“Wherever You Go” In this very personal mosaic, I have created a memorial sunflower that embodies love, remembrance, and the enduring connection between two souls, Theresa and Mike. Crafted with an array of yellow, orange, and brown petals, the sunflower stands as a powerful symbol of faith and adoration. The warm tones reflect the passion of Theresa’s heart, with orange paying tribute to her favorite color and the bright yellow petals radiating joy, much like the loving memories shared with her late husband. Surrounding the sunflower, the inner and outer petals are accentuated by sapphire blue, representing the profound bond and everlasting love between them. This favorite color of her husband serves as a heartfelt homage to him, who eternally resides in her heart, echoing the sentiment captured in the lyrics from their wedding: “Wherever you go, I shall go. Wherever you live, so shall I live.” This mosaic serves not just as a reminder of their union but as a celebration of their journey together, an unbreakable bond that transcends time and space. Adding depth to this composition is a harmonious ring of green petals, connecting their love, adorned with a beautiful mix of jasper and peridot gemstones. These green hues symbolize the heart chakra, renewal, growth, and the nurturing qualities of nature. Jasper is esteemed for its grounding energy and ability to bring balance and harmony to the physical, emotional, and spiritual body. It acts as a protective shield, alleviating stress, anxiety, and depression while promoting a deep sense of calm and inner peace—attributes that resonate profoundly with the themes of love and remembrance interwoven throughout this piece. Peridot, on the other hand, is a stone of manifestation and abundance. Its vibrant green color enhances the surrounding petals, symbolizing prosperity and the richness of life. Believed to cleanse negative energy, peridot promotes renewal and rejuvenation, inviting positive transformations in all areas of life. Together, these stones enhance the aesthetic and metaphysical significance of the mosaic, evoking a sense of hope and vitality. Copper: Sprinkled amongst the brown petals are copper disks and crystals. Copper is my favorite conduit for happy energy and the playfulness of the crystals support joy. Finally, incorporated into the design are subtle energies of archangel Michael, known as the protector and warrior of love. His presence in the mosaic symbolizes strength and guidance, as if he gently commands that love should always prevail and that their shared spirit will remain vigilant and protective in the face of life’s challenges.
